The Encore Society
The Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra Annual Fund Campaign
As part of our 40th Annivsery Season celebration, The Hendersonville Symphony Orchestras Board of Directors has approved the establishment of The Encore Society to recognize our valuable Donors who help underwrite the financial expenses of this fine institution. Ticket revenue and grants do not fully cover all of the administrative expenses, concert expenses, and education programs. Your valuable participation helps fill the financial gap and ensures the future of the HSO for generations to come. Your Member Benefits are listed below and is our way of thanking you for your generosity for participating in the HSO Annual Fund Campaign.

“Allegro”
“Allegro” is a new 2011-2012 initiative specifically designed for the Henderson County Professional and Small Business Owner. Peter. G. Voisin (Chamber Member and HSO Development Co-Chair) will be attending the Chamber of Commerce Business Morning Update and Business after Hours events to distribute information and answer any questions about this exciting program. Also look for advertised information on the Chamber E-Newsletter. In addition to “Allegro”, there will be drawings for single tickets at these Chamber of Commerce events all year!
To become a member of “Allegro”, a business owner will purchase a pair of Subscription tickets that can be used as “Thank you” gifts for their employees, clients, and vendors. In addition to that, they can also contribute at the $250 Annual Fund “Benefactor” level. They will be listed in the concert program for the entire year and also be featured in the new HSO E-newsletter and also have access to closed HSO rehearsals with permission from the Music Director and Musician’s Committee. The “Friends” (HSO Volunteers) will be your “Ambassadors” that will act as your guide during the rehearsal. At intermission break, “Allegro” members can meet some of the musicians who express interest in their support for the orchestra.
Each quarter, (depending upon interest level), The HSO Development Department will arrange an informal lunch at the Lime Leaf restaurant in downtown Hendersonville for a nominal charge to be held in the private conference dining room on the second floor. As a special feature, an HSO musician, HSO Board member, or HSO Volunteer will be in attendance as our guest speaker to share some of the “behind-the-scenes” activities that make live orchestral music so interesting and special.
For more information, go the HSO website (hendersonvillsymphony.org) and click on the “Allegro” button (coming in September). For now, please contact Peter G. HSO 40th Anniversary Subscriber Party Description:
This party format can help existing Subscriber introduce non-Subscribers to the HSO. Each non-Subscriber
who attends the party will receive a free single ticket to an upcoming concert to thank them for their participation and encourage them to become a Subscriber even if cannot attend all of our concerts. We encourage them to purchase a Subscription and support the HSO. Offer any unused tickets to a friend to “Be My Guest”. Subscriptions tickets can also be given to your employees, clients or business associates. They make a very meaningful and memorable “Thank-you “gifts. There will be an HSO VIP (HSO Board member, HSO Musician, or HSO Volunteer) there at the party to make a brief presentation and answer any questions that guests might have and share the latest plans for future HSO concerts including the HSYO Youth Orchestras.
HSO 40th Anniversary Donor Party Description:
This party format can help existing Donors introduce non-Donors to the HSO. Each non-Donor who attends the party will receive a free single ticket to an upcoming concert to thank them for their participation and encourage them to either become a Subscriber or offer the tickets to a friend to “Be My Guest”. You can also purchase Subscriptions and use the tickets for your employees, clients or business associates. They make a very meaningful “Thank-you “gift. There will be an HSO VIP (HSO Board member, HSO Musician, or HSO Volunteer) there at the party to make a brief presentation and answer any questions that guests might have and share the latest plans for the HSO future. Donor Parties will also introduce new supporters to the entire suite of financial giving programs and be asking their advice on how to better structure Donor benefits, develop new giving opportunities, and strengthen the HSO recognition programs both for individuals and Business Sponsors. We will also introduce special giving opportunities available for the 40th Anniversary Season as well as our newly established Planned Giving Department that can now design and accept both Inter-vivo and Testamentary gifts that will be held in our HSO Foundation investments accounts. Gifts to that program will be held in perpetuity and only the earnings will be spent on the program area of the Donor’s choosing. Donors will also become Lifetime Members of the Chauncey ”Chan” Harbour Society. Details will be shared at the Donor Party.
