On February 10, the Hendersonville Symphony with narrator Ron Whittemore performed educational concerts for 6th graders from across Henderson County. The students were treated spirited music by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Williams, Grieg, and more in a program entitled “Good Vigrations: How Does Music Make You Feel?” As always, the students were an enthusiastic audience. One student from each of the county’s four middle schools was invited on stage for a chance to conduct the Hendersonville Symphony. This year, members of the Hendersonville Symphony Youth Orchestra’s advanced chamber ensemble played side-by-side with HSO musicians at the concert.
Patrick Sullivan from the Hendersonville Times-News snapped some photos of the concert, which are at this link.
